Colour Create Week 9

This is my first time to enter into the Colour Create challenge. Above is a beautiful picture of a crowntail betta with the inspiration colors for the week - lilac & blue.

Below is my submission. I decided to do a box that will hold note cards for the spring.

The border punch is MS lace punch & the ribbon is actually MS too from the discount bin at Michaels.

Roxie's Wedding

A friend of mine is getting married this Saturday. I know I wasn't going to browse the card aisle!! haha Her colors are "watermelon & pink." (I'm thinking, what's the diff? haha) I used WC for the card, embossed with Divine Swirls. I found the sentiment from one of our wedding cards. (Yep, kept them all!) Inside the vase, I made a pillow box from the wedding cart & put a tag on it using Plantin. Each sentiment is computer generated. The ribbon on the pillowbox is from Target's $1 section (love it! It says Just Married) I put a gift card inside the box...it isn't empty! haha

Hello card

I'm bored tonight, so I flipped open my WC handbook & said Eeny Meeny Miney Mo. This is what I came up with. No one to give it to yet, but liking it :) It's a 'just because' kind of card

Gate card

I followed a Dawn-video, but it was really easy!

I think it is more of a male card. I like it! Male cards are really hard to come up with!

Easter spring card

Another card from one of Dawn's videos! Love it! I am in love with Snoopy! I found this stamp in the clearance section at Ms. It's from Stampabilities. Happy Easter is with individual stamped letters. & the flower is part of a border stamp that I only colored 1 flower.

Enjoy!

CD Case Calendar

Yes, that is my dog's booty, he decided that he had to be in 1 of the pictures! He's a scottie.

I found this idea of a calendar that fits into a CD case. You have to take the CD holder out, & flip the lid over backwards so it will recline. (Sorry I didn't take a picture of this part)
The base is cut at 5"x4 5/8".
Each calendar is printed onto business cards & held on with sticky photo corners so they can be changed out.
I am not going to add labels to this, if you want to know where the cut came from, please comment & I will be more than happy to share it with you.

Here is the site with each month individually:

Diaper Cake cuts

My mom is starting a company to make diaper cakes. Here is the preliminary website: www.diapercakelane.com which will be up & running soon. She asked me to make some cuts for a jungle theme cake. Then, I decided to do some other cuts to show her what I can make. Yay!
Zooballoo for the first set, DC for the 2nd & Wedding for the cross.

BBTB Challenge - Pillow Box

Okay - here it is! I finally got to do one of Regina's BBTB Challenges! I had been waiting around for a cartridge that I actually have! I was thinking of what I could do to make this one unique (as it is my first). I saw my gingham ribbon! I was Dorothy for a Halloween party for work and this was the ribbon I used for my hair. I thought, this is perfect! I absolutely love Wizard of Oz!

How I did it:
  • Pillow box is cut at 8"
  • I used CDS to make the spirals another cut with an outline in Green.I ran this piece through my Zyron upside down. When I flipped it over, I dusted it with ultra fine white glitter. Afterwards, I realized I should've used green glitter (something I would have had to make a trip to M's for...darn, haha) But hindsight is 20/20, eh?
  • Then, using CDS again, I used the cut that would have made the ouline for the window, hid a contour line, squished the square into a "brick" size! Yes, each of the yellow bricks are individually cut & pasted! Wowee!
  • It took me forever to figure out my ruby slippers. I used PDDU for the shoes, but in CDS I squished them too! Once cut, I trimmed them so it didn't look too puffy. I used my Star Dust Stickles to make them shine! Again, should have gone to the store for red Stickles, huh?
  • Now, for Toto....I used the Scottie cut from Paper Pups. Yes, I know Toto wasn't a Scottie, he was a Cairn Terrier...but who's gonna complain? :) I used my gel pen to make him have gray hairs.
  • I cut the tag & shadow from Plantin to make my tag. With red glitter gel pen I wrote There's No Place Like Home. With some doodling on the corners.
  • Then I did white 'stitching' on the pillow box.I tied my gingham ribbon & voila! Presto! I love it!

Thank you so much for looking! I'm so excited to be able to enter into a BBTB challenge!!!
I had so much fun with this!
Here is a picture of the crew at the Halloween party - for fun!

Gift Card Holder

Okay - another video from Dawn. I was on a roll that day! :)....and I'm still going haha
Mine didn't turn out the way hers did, my paper was a little delicate and it started to rip on the "inside cover" so I had to glue it down instead of letting the middle "holder" be like a page in the book.

Fancy Folds

See? It tucks into the little diamond so nicely!

I found another video by Dawn, she made her's into a Valentines card, but I chose differently :)
This is one of my papers from a 300 pc pack from Sams...it was only $20! and It is 2-sided! :) So fun!
I used Cricut markers to make the squares in the inside.

Doily Card

Here's another WildCard I made. It's the doily one (der!) and the flower is from Joys of the Season! So fun!
At first, I didn't like the patterened paper I made the card base from, but after finishing it, I decided it's pretty cute.

Congratulations on Conner

A friend at work is having her first boy in May - I made her a Congratulations card.
The "C" is because his name is Conner. I used C with the shadow & plain.
The bottom is a cuttlebug border emboss.
Stamps are from M's $1. I just got this new ink, and I'm so excited because it's my favorite color! :)

Look Who's 6 - A Stairstep

Camron turns 6 in April. Here is his card :)
Mickey is cut at 5 1/2" I think.

Wild Card cards

Okay - I've said before, I want to see what all the WC cards look like...so here is page 38, card #8. I put vellum on the back of the front. Don't know what I will use it for yet, but once I find out, I'll probably add little pearls or glitter to the swirls, something to dress it up.

And here is the one that is on pg 37, card #6 I am not entirely sure I like it! I don't know what to do with it. I cut it at fit to page (sorry, don't know what size it is)

.

I drew over each of the swirls with an orange marker
