BBTB Doodlecharms Border Challenge

Okay - I agree that I am a little out of season, but I wanted to do something I thought no one else would do! The challenge for this week at BBTB is to use any cut from Doodlecharms, as long as it we used the border feature!

I chose this adorable spider so that I could do a Halloween card!

The spiderweb is printed onto my cardstock, then I used stickles (frosted lace) to highlight some of the webbing.
The spiders are pop-dotted and also have webs they "dangle" from -- which is fishing line!
"Happy Halloween" is from Wild Cards

The sentiment is a Scottish saying

Hope you enjoy it! Go check the other creations! Plus, you get to take part in the Bug blog hop!

Summer Fun Pinwheels

This is the first card I have made with my new Indie Art cartridge. I love it! I got the idea from Cheryl on the MB, HERE is her version.  The fins actually spin!!  It's so exciting!

Gel Pen Holder

I was having a problem storing my gel pens. So I found this paper mache flower pot at Joann's the other day & covered it. Pretty simple. But I've heard a couple things: are you supposed to store your gel pens with the tip up or down??

PA Countdown

I am so excited for our upcoming vacation (in 2 months & 1 day!) So I made a countdown for my husband & I.
I used the planes from Mickey & Friends (in DS I hid the anterior wing cutout). Donald is also from Mickey.
The banner is from New Arrival (the plane banner, but hid the clouds & such in DS).
The punch at the top is Fiskars Threading Water.
I glued each plane with my zig pen, but waited until it was dry so it would be repositionable (and we could take them off easier).

The Ultimate Inchie Challenge!

Hey, I signed up to do an ultimate inchie challenge where I was to make 1,000 inch tall themed squares. My theme was baby. There are 100 other gals to make 1,000 inchies each. Once everyone turns theirs in, I get 1,000 inchies back, 100 different themes :)

I made ten sets of 100. Each ten (like above) was done in different colors. Here is a link to view each...really cool! My Inchies

Wedding Dress Thank You

My wonderful aunt offered to take my wedding dress and fix all the beading & embroidery so it would be in perfect shape before I heirloomed it. I just wanted to send her a sincere thank you not. I am so excited about it, it looks so beautiful!
My wedding colors were white & jade/turquoise and that is the same color of my brads...and almost a match to the paper & ribbon!

The Wedding Dress

Here are a few pictures of the dress so you can see how much work she had to do! It wasn't like it was in tatters, but it was my Mom's dress & then I wore it...no repairs in between. I wanted to make sure I chould keep all the beads on the dress for storage!

Cast your vote!

I'm making baby announcements for my friend. I haven't shown her yet, but these are some ideas! On the monkey - I'm headed to the store today to buy googly eyes! I think the ones that are originally cut are kinda creepy! Cast your vote at the top!!

You can click on it to see a detailed & bigger version!

Edited:

Here is the monkey with eyes!

And the inside. All I did was a stamp, but might add a small boy in the corner.

The story of my profile pic!

Okay! I love Twilight! I have only read the 1st book (shame on me, I know!) I read it before it was really popular. I only bought it because I like the cover of the book! I know, shame again! :)

I loved it!!

Still, before it was popular, a RTVF major friend of mine needed to do a storyboard for his photojournalism class. So...with the book in mind, I told him to do one like Snow White.

I was the model...or my hands were :)

The photos were, this one of me holding the apple, one of my hands picking it out of a tree, and one with a bite out & my hand and apple laying on the ground. I need to email him & see if I can get the rest of the pictures. It's been a couple years, but we'll try anyways!

But I do need to get cracking on the rest of the books! (Need to finish the one I'm reading now haha)

I love you guys!

BTW, another book series I loved was Earths Children: starting with Clan of the Cave Bear. There are 7 books in the series! I was almost in tears when I finished the last one because it was over...but there is still room for her to write more! :) C'mon Jean Auel!!

MY embossing folder

I am so excited! I made my own embossing folder using the cricut emboss kit! I only used the cloud from Dreams Come True (the Aladdin cloud). Comments please! I will share.

I had to experiment with getting the layering right so that it would come out (semi) deep embossing. This is what I did:
  1. Fiskarts plate (for thickness)
  2. Folder with cardstock
  3. B plate
